Leadership Team

  • Minal Patel Davis is the founder and CEO of the Henekom Group – Social Architects Bridging Business and Human Rights, leveraging over 20 years of experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to integrate human rights principles into business operations. Current clients include the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the local organizing committees for Dallas and Houston (DAL26, HOU26). In these client engagements, titles held include Member of the Expert Advisory Group, Chief Human Rights Officer, and Chief Legacy Officer, respectively.

    Before founding her consultancy, Minal was the founding Director of the Houston Mayor’s Office of Human Trafficking, the first such office in the U.S. She expanded anti-trafficking initiatives to 18 U.S. cities and 10+ countries, resulting in 60+ replication efforts. As part of her role at the Mayor’s Office, she served as Human Rights Chair for HOU26 and conducted a comprehensive impact assessment that helped secure Houston as a World Cup host city, contributing to a projected $1 billion economic impact.

    Her pioneering work earned her the Presidential Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Combat Trafficking in Persons, the highest U.S. honor in the field. Minal serves on the board of Verité, a global organization focused on eradicating child labor, forced labor, human trafficking, and gender discrimination from supply chains. She holds a JD and MBA from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Political Science from New York University. Minal is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi.

  • Daniel Polomski is a human rights consultant with over a decade of international experience working across business, international organisations, and civil society. As part of the Henekom Group, he brings a solutions-focused approach to bridging regulatory expectations with people-centered outcomes. His work helps clients integrate human rights into global supply chains, shape due diligence strategies, and align operations with relevant human rights frameworks and regulatory requirements.

    Daniel spent 15 years in Southeast Asia, where he worked closely with grassroots organisations, regional networks, and UN agencies. During this time, he helped shape the regional business and human rights agenda by connecting rightsholder realities to global standards. His work has included formulating human rights policies for the ICT sector, supporting responsible business practices in conflict-affected areas, and conducting research for organisations such as UNDP, Shift, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and the ASEAN CSR Network. He has also contributed to academic and professional capacity-building by teaching international human rights standards to graduate students at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Mahidol University.

    After relocating to Germany, Daniel has worked in the private sector in garment retail and financial services industries, building and implementing human rights due diligence systems to support risk identification, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.

    Daniel earned a PhD in Human Rights and Peace Studies with distinction for his research on tangible results in the Bangladesh garment sector. He previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Hamburg. Daniel is fluent in English, German, and Thai, with basic knowledge of French and Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Sree Kancherla is the Chief Growth Officer at the Henekom Group. She was most recently the Global Director of Sustainability at Kearney, where she pioneered innovative approaches to integrating human rights principles into global supply chains and sustainable business operations. Bringing over 25 years of expertise at the intersection of sustainability, human rights, and ESG regulations, Sree has worked with Fortune 500 companies, governments, and international organizations across the consumer goods, retail, sports, entertainment, luxury fashion, aviation, and technology sectors.

    Before joining Henekom, Sree established herself as a transformational leader in corporate sustainability at Kearney, where she designed and developed global human rights models to assess and manage risk across full value chains and launched the Design for Sustainability process at Kearney's Product Excellence and Renewal Lab. Her execution of strategic sustainability frameworks for Fortune 500 companies resulted in improved regulatory compliance and enhanced stakeholder trust. Sree's expertise encompasses responsible sourcing, social impact business models, water equity, and circular economy implementation, across complex international operations.

    Sree's career foundation was built as a human rights lawyer, where she supported in establishing the International Criminal Tribunal of Rwanda and served as in-house legal advisor for a British defense technology firm working across the Middle East. She pivoted her legal career to establish and be a pioneer in the social impact and impact investing space. For over a decade Sree helped establish organizations of visionary leaders, serving as Executive Director of impact-driven businesses, one of which is  the first and largest social impact business fellowship program for post-college graduates- IDEX Global Fellowship. 

    Her international business experience includes serving as Head of Strategy & Operations Africa for Navayuga Infotech, one of India’s leading infrastructure and technology companies. She was responsible for establishing operations, developing strategic partnerships, and managing projects valued over $25M with Governments, and private institutions. 

    Sree continued her work in MEA in business diplomacy both on technology and sustainability initiatives, working with Heads of State, investors, sovereign funds, HNIs, and philanthropists, leading to multiple high impact programs.

    She currently serves as President of the Board for Conservancy Guardians USA Fund and holds advisory positions with Emory University's Impact Investing Group. As a published writer and speaker, she regularly addresses topics ranging from human rights and AI in procurement, on sustainability podcasts and at international forums, including the Formula 1 Sustainability Summit and Harvard Club in Zurich.

    Sree holds an MBA from George Mason University, a JD from New England Law Boston, and a BA from Emory University. 

  • Anna Fraser is a human rights specialist with more than a decade of experience advancing efforts to prevent and address human trafficking worldwide. She spent twelve years in the U.S. Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons where, most recently, she led a team focused on developing policies and programming to mitigate forced labor in global supply chains and on coordinating anti-trafficking efforts across U.S. government agencies.

    During her time at the State Department, Anna advised governments, civil society organizations, multilateral organizations, and private sector leaders on strategies to mitigate human rights risks in global supply chains, improve labor due diligence and recruitment practices, and promote worker voice and agency.  She also led a committee to drive implementation of a federal acquisition regulation prohibiting human trafficking in U.S. government contracts.

    Anna holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Mercyhurst University.

  • Jessica McGowan is a Senior Analyst at HeneKom Group supporting human rights due diligence analysis.

    Prior to joining HeneKom, Jessica worked in the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence, where she helped develop responsible sourcing tools for procurement, mapped multi-level resources to strengthen access-to-remedy, and co-authored the Women and Girls Equity Landscape Analysis and Benchmarking Report—an effort to advocate for the creation of a Foundation. She also served as Assistant Director in the Mayor’s Office of Education and Youth Engagement—the youngest team member in the Mayor’s Office and the first to serve in such a senior capacity at age 23.

    With a background in communications and design, Jessica has strong analytical and data synthesis skills to enhance deliverables.

    Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas A&M University, with minors in English and Women’s and Gender Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized with a university writing award for excellence in academic writing.

  • Hyeonju Wang is a Junior Consultant at Henekom Group, supporting research, content development, and strategic communications across a range of human rights issues.

    Hyeonju began working in business and human rights with A30/ as an advisor where her work spanned from developing worker empowerment programs for global supply chains and evaluating human rights proposals for FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities. She also supported research efforts with UNDP to publish "Reflections and Directions- Business and Human Rights in Asia: From the First Decade to the Next" and designed multiple reports for research initiatives focusing on Myanmar in collaboration with USIP and USAID. She also has experience in the nonprofit setting, leading communications strategies through narrative storytelling, designing websites and graphics for multimedia purposes to increase civic and community engagement.

    With a strong background in community outreach and qualitative research, she specializes in stakeholder engagement, policy research, and cross-cultural communication with special interests in labor rights, migration, and corporate accountability.

    She has presented her work as a guest lecturer and speaker in both academic and public forums, including at TEDxLincoln's Salon event on the topic of Technology as a Human Right. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Communications Studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Hyeonju speaks conversational Korean.

  • Bridget Montovani is an Analyst at Henekom Group, providing project support, research assistance, and administrative coordination across client deliverables and internal processes.

    While in college, Bridget worked at the Kinney Center for Autism Support and Education where she gained a first hand understanding of the importance of advocacy, specifically in accessibility.

    She also served as her sororities Vice President of Programming and Enrichment, where she oversaw engagement based programming, academic support, and DEI initiatives within the chapter.

    Through her coursework and leadership roles, Bridget has developed a strong foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research, along with a passion for advocacy and fostering inclusion.

    Bridget earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University, with a minor in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

  • Paul Costello is a senior program manager for the German Marshall Fund Cities program, based in the organization’s Berlin office. He leads work on city international engagement, migration, democracy, and disinformation projects. For years, Paul has been conceptualizing and implementing successful programs that bring together local leaders and officials from cities across North America and Europe, fostering exchange, learning, and innovative local solutions tackling global issues. He also serves on the Democracy & Belonging Forum’s Advisory Board. Paul has a background in public policy and prior work experience in sustainability and public diplomacy programs. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Catalan. Paul is a graduate of the Master of Public Policy program at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and has a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal.

  • Irene Carretero Sala is a dedicated human rights consultant specializing in gender, migration, and emergency response. Currently serving as a human rights program manager at FIFA, she leverages the global influence of football to promote the protection of at-risk athletes and foster resilience in humanitarian situations. With a decade of expertise in humanitarian aid, conflict mediation, and cross-cultural management, she has partnered with various international organizations to establish sustainable strategies aimed at addressing human rights violations and bridging the gap between policies, organizations, and vulnerable communities.

    Irene is committed to promoting positive social impact and driving systemic change through innovative approaches. Her combination of on-the-ground humanitarian experience and high-level strategic work enables her to address the complexities of global inequalities and advocate for marginalized voices.

    Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, Irene holds a Master's degree in International Cooperation and Development Politics from Universidad de Malaga, a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences from Sciences Po Paris, and is a certified Business and Personal Master Coach from Academie Europeenne de Coaching.

  • Kyle Wright is CEO of Stardust, a forward-thinking family office in Houston and New York City. For more than a decade, Kyle has led the multidisciplinary effort at Stardust to integrate and reimagine the use of philanthropy, art, advocacy, and investment capital for a more equitable future. He has worked with dozens of partners to advance change through innovative strategies in impact investing, shareholder engagement, and impact litigation. Kyle currently serves on the board of directors of Transparentem, a leading non-profit working to eradicate human and environmental abuses in complex supply chains. He holds a JD, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.

  • Karen Pointer is a partner at Bartko Zankel Bunzel & Miller, a full-service law firm focusing on employment law, business litigation, business advice and counseling, and real estate in Los Angeles. She co-chairs the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Karen represents clients in a wide variety of industries in all aspects of employee/employer relations, workplace investigations, and employment law. Her client base ranges from individuals and small businesses to publicly traded entities, large national and international corporations, and large and small nonprofit organizations and foundations. She is an active member of the community and serves on the boards of multiple non-profits with social causes dear to her. Karen earned her JD from UCLA School of Law and a BS from Loyola Marymount University.

  • Nicole Perry is a partner at the global law firm Jones Day. Nicole focuses on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, with an emphasis on energy and technology matters. Nicole has represented clients in Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act cases, preemption matters, purported class actions, trade secret and copyright lawsuits, declaratory judgment actions, fraud and breach of contract proceedings, and employment disputes. Nicole is the Houston Office hiring partner and a member of the Firmwide Litigation Associate Training Committee. She previously served as the Pro Bono partner in Houston, and she continues to lead Firm anti-human trafficking initiatives related to public awareness and data issues.

  • Tara Montovani is currently the Director, Global Income Tax Reporting, Analysis and Compliance at Trane Technologies PLC from 2022. Prior to joining Trane Technologies, Tara spent fifteen years at Raytheon Technologies Corporation, formerly United Technologies Corporation (UTC), in positions of increasing responsibility. Her most recent role at Raytheon Technologies Corporation was Senior Director, Tax Reporting. She held this role during the merger with Raytheon Company and the simultaneous spin-off of the Otis Elevator Corporation and Carrier Corporation subsidiaries in 2020. Tara received her JD from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Accounting from Fairfield University. She is a member of both the New York and Connecticut State Bar.

  • Anastasia Gentles, MD, was Founder & Physician of NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care from 2007 to 2021. She is a current Staff Physician at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Dr. Gentles founded and scaled the first in Houston, and one of only a few in the country, multi-location Urgent Care facilities devoted to Pediatric patients. NightLight was recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) 2020 regional award winner. Dr. Gentles has gone on to Judge this regional award and continues to encourage entrepreneurs to establish and grow their businesses.
